Generating Names

A simple example of how a world can be randomly created using a few rules is that of generating names. Using a few lists of words, I wrote a program that samples the likelihood of each letter coming given the previous letters. It then creates names using those statistics. Below is a few lists of names titled from where the input words were taken.

Any name generating tool will need to be a bit more than just blindly spitting out strings of letters. For one, I've found it's a good idea to ensure that at least one vowel is in each name. Also I've also employed a list of offensive words that are filtered out of any randomly generated names.
